Hey guys, how are you? I am good đ. Is it just me or did January zoom off real fast? Anyway, I have a new perspective I would love to share with you on how we see inadequacies.
The first things that comes to mind, when we hear âinadequaciesâ or âshortcomingsâ are, ways to measure up and fix them. We as humans pay a lot of attention to our flaws, we spend so much time trying to make them better, because there is a need for perfection.
However, in all of this we forget we have strengths and areas of excellence, we get so consumed by the need to measure up that we subconsciously pull ourselves down. I am not asking you not to work on yourself; but to do so smartly. It is better to spend your time and energy making an eight a ten, than to try making a three a ten.
Previous Post talking about not giving up can be seen HERE
You have flaws and shortcomings, accept that. Be sincere with yourself, it is in knowing where you fall short, that you would be able to know where you flourish. âI would love to be a musician, but I canât sing; however, I am a good writer so, I would be a songwriter or lyricistâ. You want to be a doctor, but science is not for you; then study whatever you are good at and find a link between it and medicine. Do not spend your life trying to be a mediocre doctor when you can be an amazing medical laywer.
You need to remember that your path is not their path. Your story is yours to write. Do not try to fit a certain mold. Do what works for you, use your strengths and build on them.
Play up your strengths. You are amazing despite your flaws. You are unique. Do not live an average life trying to meet up, when you can soar and excel. Know yourself, place a value on yourself. See yourself as a commodity and accord yourself due respect.
STAY SHINING
PS if you have a topic you want me to write on, feel free to let me know.
